An autobiographical exploration of US American patriotism, Oh I have slipped is a multimedia solo performance incorporating video, projection, music, and original text.

Using Sappho’s fragmented poems on a brother at war as my starting point, I sought to apply Anaïs Nin’s guidelines for writing to evoke a feeling of dreaming, as described in the first volume of her published diaries, to the act of performance creation.
Oh I have slipped is an exploration of the memories, feelings, fears, and joys that have shaped my experience of growing up within a US Air Force family.
The title is taken from the John Gillespie Magee poem "High Flight".

Oh I have slipped was produced as part of the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program’s 2019 Free Play festival.
